PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
FGS-550 is a two-component, urethane-based adhesive and joint sealant formulated without flammable solvents. It is specifically designed for bonding and sealing applications where strong adhesion, flexibility, and resistance to temperature variations are required. This product provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including polyurethane foam, polystyrene, phenolic foam, and other insulation materials.
MAIN PURPOSE
FGS-550 is commonly used for waterproofing and as an adhesive for fiberglass sheets, making it ideal for industrial, commercial, and construction applications..
- High Adhesion Strength: Bonds effectively with various substrates such as metal, concrete, fiberglass, polyurethane foam, and insulation materials.
- Non-Flammable Formulation: Safe to use in enclosed or sensitive environments.
- Excellent Waterproofing: Provides a durable moisture barrier for long-term protection.
- Strong and Flexible After Curing: Maintains bond integrity while allowing for thermal expansion and movement.
- Dual Function: Serves as both an attachment adhesive and a joint sealant, offering versatility for installation.
- Low Temperature Performance: Retains adhesion and elasticity in cold environments.
- Easy to Mix and Apply: Two-component system ensures consistent curing and reliable results.
- Weather and Chemical Resistant: Withstands exposure to moisture, temperature changes, and environmental stress.
PREPARATION FOR APPLICATION
- Do not thin product
- Make sure the mixing ratio of mass of two component part
A by 1 kgs and part B by 20 DROP ml (Ratio 1:20) - Check the quantity to be applied in advance and
calculate the weight of A and B. Do not mix product
having 30 minutes of pot life, The excessive will turn into
being cured condition which cannot be applied. - Apply only to clean, dry, oil-free surfaces.
- Keep the container of product firmly closed in times of
not in use to prevent evaporation of oil and surface
skinning.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Mix FGS-550 A and B well to be homogeneous. Precaution
that after mixing A and B is ready to use ,use it
immediately life of ready material is short and due to air
condiments it become hard, stir well so slowly.
- Mix FGS-550 A and B well to be homogeneous. Precaution
- Apply to both ready FGS-550 on ready base side of
substrate to be applied evenly and homogenously. - Remove any adhesives appeared between insulations by
pressing firmly. - This application provides dry film thickness of 2.0 mm.
As rough or porous surfaces require more products,
higher built thickness is recommended.
TOOLS
- Use a clean brush, trowel, or spatula depending on the surface area and application type.
- Ensure all tools are free from dust, oil, and moisture before use.
- For larger surfaces, use a notched trowel to achieve even spreading.
- For joints or narrow areas, use a spatula or small brush for precise application.
- Clean tools immediately after use with an appropriate solvent or cleaner before the material hardens.
- Maintain uniform thickness throughout the application to ensure proper adhesion and performance.
- Avoid using worn-out or damaged tools that can affect the finish quality.
CLEANUP
- As the dried product is very difficult to remove, clean all tools and surfaces immediately after use.
- Use a suitable solvent or cleaner recommended for the material to remove any residue.
- Avoid letting the product dry on surfaces, as it may damage or stain them.
- Dispose of any leftover material according to local regulations.
- Wipe off any spills or smudges on adjacent surfaces before curing occurs.
- For hands and skin, wash immediately with soap and water or use a recommended hand cleaner.
- Ensure the work area is free from dust and debris before starting the next application.
